The America's cup is arguably one of the most important sail races in the world. What everybody agrees is that the AC72 is the fastest sail boat in the world. 22m (72 feet) in length, 40m mast height. The sail is actually a wing about the size of a jumbo jet wing with 260 sq m. It flies on water 3 times faster than the wind speed and require a crew of 11 people. An engineering marvel.
